- Is the restaurant in a separate area from the club?

 

Yes. The restaurant is under the guidance of renowned Executive Chef Sho Kamio, and can accommodate parties of most sizes. The jazz club with a state of the art sound system is open nightly for live music. There is also a bar and lounge area where food and drinks are served. - Is photography allowed during the show?

 

NO photography or recording of any kind is allowed during the live performances without prior approval from artist. For press related inquiries, email lisa@yoshis.com

 

- How does the seating work?

 

The club doors open 15-30 minutes before the shows begin. You have several seating options. For full detail CLICK HERE.

 

- Is there a drink minimum?

 

There is a one drink minimum per person during the show. The drink can be substituted with a purchase of any item from the club menu.

 

- Is the Jazz Club seating auditorium style?

 

No. The club seating is cabaret style with each table shared by up to 4 people. There are also a limited number of 2 person tables.

 

- Can I pick a specific table in the club?

 

Yes. There are options that allow you to select your seats as you purchase your tickets in advance. Additional fees will apply. The option to choose seats is turned off after 12 noon on the day of show. Yoshi's reserves the right to hold back certain tables for large groups, guests of the artist, guests with special needs, etc...For seating options, CLICK HERE

 

- Is a restaurant reservation necessary?

 

Restaurant reservation is highly recommended if you plan to dine prior to the show. Reservations can be made either by calling 415.655.5600 or online via OPEN TABLE. Casual dining is available in the bar/lounge area without prior reservation; however space can be limited especially on weekends. You can also order food & drinks while watching the show in the club. Make your restaurant reservations at least 75 minutes before the show in order to ensure an excellent dining experience. If you're bringing a large group, consider making your reservation 2 hours before show time.

 

- How long are the shows?

 

Most of our shows run between 70 and 90 minutes. On some occasions shows may run shorter or longer than the average time.

 

- Is there an age limit?

 

All our shows are all-ages unless noted otherwise for some restricted shows. However, it is live music and some shows may be too loud for infants and toddlers.

 

- Is there a dress code?

 

No, Yoshi’s does not have an enforced dress code. Most of our patrons come in business casual attire. Formal attire is recommended on such nights as Valentine’s or New Years Eve, but not required.

 

- Is Yoshi’s available for group events?

 

Absolutely. We are happy to help plan events ranging from 10 person celebrations, to 50 person private parties, to 300+ person full space rentals. Please contact our Private Events Director, Jim Wallace, at jim@yoshis.com, or call 415/655-5605.

 

- I received a Yoshi’s gift card/certificate as a present. How do I use it to purchase show tickets in advance?

 

Call the box office at 415.655.5600 to reserve tickets using the gift card/certificate. Have the gift card/certificate handy when you call. Gift card/certificates never expire and are good for show tickets, Yoshi’s merchandise or dinner and drinks in the jazz club or restaurant.

 

- How far in advance can i buy tickets?

- Can I bring my own cake or bottle of wine to the restaurant or club?

 

Yes. Additional corkage/cake fees will apply.

 

- What type of parking is available? How about public transportation?

 

For your convenience, there's a garage located directly underneath Yoshi's for a flat fee of $12. Enter on Eddy Street. Avoid parking at Safeway next door as your vehicle may get towed. Check www.bart.gov for closest bart station.
